Founder's Day
Iota Phi Lambda Sorority Incorporated was founded in Chicago, Illinois by Lola Mercedes Parker on June 1, 1929. Lola's vision was to create a sorority that aided to empower young African American Women in the field of business. Through her determination and motivation, this has allowed African American Women to advance their skills and reach higher achievements in their professions.
Founder’s Day is an observance and closed ceremony held annually on June 1 @ 6:00 p.m.
This is a ceremony to rededicate our commitment to Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. in unity and sisterly love.
