Greetings,

It is a distinguished honor to greet you in the month of April in recognition of Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. ~ National Business Month. The month of April is full of exciting activities throughout the nation and particularly in Alha Kappa Chapter. In keeping with the traditions of celebrating and supporting Black owned businesses, community service contributions, youth entrepreneurship, and bestowing recipients with the Dorethea N. Hornbuckle Business Award the month burgeons with outstanding contributions by members of our respective communities.

Small businesses are the mainstay of our economy. Our goal is to recognize and salute the contributions of small businesses each April throughout Iota land is one of the most relevant programs that we commit ourselves to as a professional business organization. Soror Lola Mercedes Parker would be extremely proud of the accomplishments that we have made for over 80 + years.

Again, I salute your celebrations of your accomplished honorees. My congratulations to Alpha Kappa Chapter and its awardees.
